3rd Annual Shining Starz Showcase

Do you have the best act in the city? If so, then we want to give you an opportunity to prove it! On January 12th, 2007 at THE LIVING ARTS CENTER, MISSISSAUGA; Change Promotions will once again be proud to present The Shining Starz; the regions 3rd annual Talent Showcase. We are interested in all acts aged 14-29. Whether you believe that you or someone you know is a good Dancer, Comedian, ANY TYPE OF MUSICIAN, or even something entertaining that hasn’t been introduced, and needs to be… then your gift is important to us. If you think that you/your group, has talent that needs to be showcased, we want to give you that chance to perform in front of an outsized amount of spectators; over 1300 people! Members from Change Promotions will be going across the entire Peel region and surrounding cities to ensure that everyone is aware of this great opportunity. Shining Starz is a Talent Showcase that will comprise of *20* of the best talent acts across the region, performing in front of a voting mass audience to win the top prize. We are curious to recognize who will be the “Next Star to Shine.” In addition to actual Talent Show, there will be a Fashion Show; showcasing the up and coming clothing lines from local designers, the Dj Mixing battle and the 3rd Annual Battle King, Freestyling Competition. This will be a night filled with entertainment! The Shining Starz will have extensive media coverage, also a press release will be sent out to A&R’s from music recording labels. The Winners of the Shining Starz will receive a $1000 CA$H prize, an Award a prize pack from our event sponsors, as well as EXCESSIVE EXPOSURE.

If you feel that you/your group can out perform others in this great event, Auditions will be held inside THE ROSE THEATRE HALL on SUNDAY DECEMBER 2ND, 2007, FROM 2:00PM – 10:30PM. The Audition fee is $25 per act, and will be collected on the day of the auditions.. It is important that you get as much practice as you can leading up to the tryout as well as the event, and take advantage of this, it will be a great opportunity for each and every act. It is important that while you are rehearsing you focus on these points for the opportunity to take your act one step further. All Performances are to be non-explicit.
